Saturday 16th July 10am - 3pm with Nicky Jerrome in the beautiful countryside setting of Chesterblade Hills

With the summer holiday season getting going, socks make the perfect, portable holiday project to take on your travels. We will be making a mini toe-up sock over the course of the day with 4-ply yarn.

Toe-up socks are great because you can try them on as you go for a good fit in the foot and you can easily end your sock half way through your 100g ball of sock yarn taking the guess work out of how long they should be! 

 You will learn:

The cost of the workshop includes a KnitpPro Zing Circular Needle (for magic loop) and a 100g ball of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4-ply sock wool (we'll only need a bit of the yarn on the day so you'll have plenty left to make an adult sized pair of socks after the course).

Tea/coffee, biscuits and a light lunch will be provided. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know well in advance.

Skills required: Confident beginner - intermediate:

Experience of knitting in the round is required.

If you have not tried magic loop technique before, let me know and I'll send you a video so you can familiarise yourself with the technique.

It will be possible to make the socks on double pointed needles but you will need the confidence to interpret the pattern which is tailored to magic loop (but will still basically work for DPNs).

Materials Included: 2.5mm/80cm KnitPro Zing circular needles and a 100g ball of West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4-ply sock yarn will be provided on the day (you'll have enough left for you to take away and make an adult size pair of socks). If you would prefer to use your own double pointed needles you are very welcome to bring them.

Please note that we need a minimum of 2 attendees in order to run the course. 

We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations with less than 1 week's notice. This is in order to give us a chance to fill the space. If you cancel at less than 1 week's notice and we are able to fill your space, we can offer you a transfer to the next available course date.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course due to illness or such like, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and either refund you or transfer you to the next available course date, depending on your preference.
