NEXT STEPS KNITTING: Lace Knitting (materials included)

Saturday 18th June 2022 - 10.00am - 1.00pm with Nicky Jerrome in the beautiful countryside setting of Chesterblade Hills

Come and try your hand at lace knitting under the guidance of Nicky Jerrome. You will be working on a swatch based on Nicky's Campfire Shawl pattern.

Lace knitting is an absorbing form of knitting which can be often seen as impressively complicated, delicate and beautiful but can also be very approachable - even simple. We will be tackling a fairly easy pattern to introduce the concepts of lace knitting.

You will learn:

Yarn over increases
Left and right leaning decreases
How to read a lace chart (written instructions also provided)

Tea, coffee, cake/biscuits will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Skills required: Confident beginner - intermediate. You should be able to cast on/cast off and knit and purl. We will be learning the increases and decreases required on the day.

Materials Provided: A sample of BC Garn "Summer In Kashmir" 90% Organic Cotton/10% Cashmere yarn is provided on the day. KnitPro Basix Birch needles size 3.75mm/25cm will be provided but if you have your own preferred needles you are very welcome to bring them.

Please note that we need a minimum of 2 attendees in order to run the course.

We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations with less than 2 week's notice. This is in order to give us a chance to fill the space. If you cancel at less than 2 week's notice and we are able to fill your space, we can offer you a transfer to the next available course date.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a course due to illness or such like, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and either refund you or transfer you to the next available course date, depending on your preference.
